Unit is relatively lightweight and applies in an effective manner. I'd suggest practicing on a blank canvas first to get familiar with it and the specific type of texture you want to apply. Then, with nice smooth strokes and a slow drying mix (to allow working time), I was able to nearly replicate existing knockdown textures (two styles in separate rooms). I used the product after having a plumbing leak upstairs and having to cut out drywall both up and downstairs. I highly recommend this unit (I've always been pleased with Wagner tools/products and this unit was no exception).

trigger pull is too difficult does work though more power would be better but adequate for light weight application material

I have been using this product now for a couple of weeks. It is very simple to use....fill with the texture (mud) you want to spray on the walls, turn it on and squeeze the trigger. Texture patterns will vary according to thickness of 'mud', how you handle the sprayer (spraying in a circular pattern, back and forth, up and down, how close you are to the wall, etc.) My suggestion....try it out. $60 / $70 is a very good price, maybe you can find it for less online somewhere....it is worth the price in the time you save trying to texture walls and ceilings. It can be messy.....so cover up the things in the area you do not want to get the texture on. Try it first outside on some scrap material, experiment, practice. Cleanup is a breeze (DO NOT spray off the electric, detachable motor). Wipe it all down, put it away. Works very well and is highly recommended for the small time contractor or homeowner. If texturing / painting is what you do for a living.....you know what works for you and would probably not be impressed by such a machine, but I am.... Read full review

Love this product! I am 56 years old and this was my first attempt in doing popcorn and splatterdragging. So far I got 4 rooms done. I would make just a few suggestions to the manufacturers... 1. The handles should be solid material gets underneath and makes cleaning a bit tedious. 2. A small 2" square on each side of the arm so when sitting on the floor it has a secure balance as the material is poured. 3. When shooting ceiling an additional inch on the back of material container would avoid accidentsl spill from over tilt. But as stated earlier I absolutely love this but does have room for improvement.

Great for small drywall projects since it is electric and easily portable. Saves from needing an air compressor to do a spray knockdown or orange peel. Just get the mud right and use the right tip. Takes practice but once you get it your good to go.
